Gerry had been expected to do well in business to the extent that a major eastern financial publication announced his debut on the tourism scene by publishing this photograph. After creating a sensation with this seemingly promising start in Victoria's booming tourism industry, however, Gerry reports that he was reduced to taking employment in the engineering profession all his life!
Gerry's engineer's eye is already apparent right here. Even now it appreciates the implications of mass and hills; just look at the size of the passengers he accepts!
Here's Gerry in the summer of 1964 in, by the looks of it, Beacon Hill Park checking out mv² during his brief tenure as a valued member of Rusty's Rickshaws.
