Virtually nobody at OBHS played hockey - don't know why. I played until I was 19, then on arriving here in NZ was surprised to find the game being played here. So I signed up immediately and have continued to play ever since. Next week (9th to 16th March [2003]) I'm off to Christchurch for an Old Timers' Tournament with a group of ex-pats. This will be the 3rd tournament (after 1997 & 2000) and will include several teams from Australia, 2 from Germany, 1 from USA, and the rest from NZ.
